Exterior
Waterproofing
Materials
Exterior
balconies and
breezeways
typically
receive poured
concrete over an
appropriate
waterproofing
system as laid
out on the
architectural
prints. Door
pockets, wall
flashing,
elastomeric
membranes and
drip edge T-bars
are all
professionally
installed
according to the
project's
requirements.
The drawings
below, depict a
few of our most
common
installation
practices. The
two most
important
details included
in our exterior
decking scope of
work are:
a.) The entire
deck is primed
prior to the
installation of
the elastomeric
membrane. This
is in accordance
with tamko
installation
procedures and
helps insure a
firm bond
between the wood
deck and the
waterproofing
membrane. Our
primers are
never installed
in a simple "X"
pattern.
b.) The face of
the wall
flashing is
completely
covered by the
waterproofing
membrane as it
is rolled up
onto the wall
above the wall
flashing as
shown in the
picture below.
